Restoration & Start-Up
At Nite and Day Power we understand facilities may go unoccupied for a significant period of time. We provide:
- Routine restoration of the emergency back-up power equipment
- Initial Start-up of the emergency back power equipment
- Refurbishment of generator and UPS equipment
Our restoration and startup service ensures these systems are working properly upon occupation.
We will verify that the equipment is installed properly and in accordance with the National Electrical Code, particularly when it comes to grounds and neutrals, which is a problematic area often misunderstood.
UPS and Generator equipment require a wide range of startup processes depending upon the make and model of manufacture. Determining the right process for each installation may be tricky, especially with mixed brands of equipment. Our experience and training ensure the equipment starts up successfully with proper operation of all monitoring and control softwares. Our field technicians will verify phase rotation and sequence across all power systems including generators, maintenance bypass circuits, and Power Distribution Units.
Upon completion of startup, we will: Conduct thermal scans of all electrical connections ensuring all are tight and not generating heat, which is often the only indication of a problem. A non-invasive diagnostic is used by technicians to identify hot spots invisible to the human eye. Technicians will clean and retorque connections where issues are found; Provide a complete operational test per the manufacturer's specifications to test the functionality of all hardware and software related to the system; and perform a monitored battery-rundown test to determine if any battery strings or cells are near the end of their useful lives.
Our start-up services are backed by a 90 day guarantee ensuring that no faults will occur within your power system.
